Hi, Everyone!
My name is Cassidy. I’m a sophomore at a Maryland high school, and in October of 2012, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Check out the About page for more on my story.
I’m dealing with the symptoms of Lyme–pain, fatigue, insomnia, stiffness, joint swelling, and more– on a daily basis. But, I know I’m not the only one .
I’m using this blog to reach out to other Lyme patients, whether it’s sharing a tip on dealing with the pain, a personal story, or just me venting after a long day of dealing with my symptoms.
I’m also using this blog to increase Lyme awareness. I never saw the tick that bit me, and I never had a visible bullseye rash–one of the signs of Lyme. It can sneak up on you, and I want to play a role, even if it’s a small one, in helping stop the spread of those pesky little ticks. Enjoy!
Cassidy, I have never met you personally, but I do know your mom and dad. And I just have to say that you are the cutest and bravest thing ever. Keep fighting girl and telling/sharing your story is wonderful and brave. I am sure your mom and dad are extremely proud of you!
Cassidy,
I have talked with your mom some as I have also had Lyme’s for a number of years and went a long time before being diagnosed. I believe you would be my 3rd cousin, but either way, if I can be of any help, please let me know.
Thank you I will!
Thank you, Missy! I appreciate it!
Cassidy you are one amazing young lady. I am so proud to be your aunt. Keep positive and thank you for wanting to help others. I love you, Aunt Jackie

Cassidy,
I know you probably don’t know me or my name but I am in your Spanish class this semester. First period, with Mendez. I’m a freshman and while I know absolutely nothing about Lyme or what you’re going through, and I’m just starting to read your blog, I want you to know that I send you my best wishes. I will be reading your blog from here on out.
Yours truly,
Mary-Ellen Davis
Thank you! I’d love to meet you tomorrow!
